An ode to the sea & its people
Sourced with local fishermenGathered by hand in PalawanCommunity at the heart

Before it becomes
part of your life,
it is part of theirs.

In Palawan, our pearl story begins with local fishermen, homemade boats and pearls gathered by hand. Long before there is a necklace to fasten or an earring to wear, there is someone doing the work that makes it possible.

OnlyRock connects that work to a wider world. By bringing these pearls to buyers beyond the islands, we help create opportunities for fishermen to earn more from their work. Beautiful jewellery, with a purpose rooted in the place it begins.

To us, an origin.
To someone,
home.

A homemade boat. A pair of working hands. The waters of Palawan. This is where our pearls begin, with local fishermen gathering them by hand and bringing their knowledge of the sea to every day’s work.

Our part is to carry their work further. Beyond the village. Beyond the islands. To people around the world who can see its beauty and value it. That wider reach is how we aim to help improve local incomes.

An even more remarkable story.

THE PEARL OF PUERTO
An unexpected discovery

A treasure kept
under the bed.

For around a decade, a fisherman in Palawan reportedly kept an extraordinary find at home as a good-luck charm. According to accounts shared in 2016, his anchor had caught on a giant clam. Inside was the object that would become known as the Pearl of Puerto.

His family described a discovery weighing approximately 34 kilograms. When he entrusted it to a relative, a Puerto Princesa tourism officer, its story reached the wider world.

What makes the story linger is its wonderfully human beginning: something the world saw as a possible treasure had first been kept simply for luck.

The 2016 reports called for gemological authentication. Its record status and widely circulated valuations are not treated here as verified facts.
